What’s new for 2020

We are proud to offer you and your family a comprehensive program of benefits that are among the best in the industry. Consider your options and decide which plan is best for you.

Here's what's changing:

Aldine ISD is offering a new KelseyCare ACO plan.

What this means for you: This brings the total number of medical plans we’re offering to three. There are two ACO plans and one broad network plan.

Open Access Select is the broad network plan with access to a broad network of doctors and hospitals, including Kelsey-Seybold clinics and health professionals.

Memorial Hermann ACO is a narrow network plan with access to Memorial Hermann providers and facilities.

KelseyCare ACO is a narrow network plan with access to Kelsey-Seybold providers and facilities.

An ACO, or accountable care organization, is a network of providers and facilities that provide coordinated, comprehensive care for all of their patients' needs. This network of doctors and hospitals shares a financial and medical responsibility to patients in hopes of eliminating unnecessary spending.

We've added two new health clubs, LA Fitness and Gold's Gym, to our health club program.

What this means for you: You can now save at more locations. Learn more here.

Things to think about for 2020
  • Consider opening a health care flexible spending account (FSA) to help cover eligible medical expenses. You can set aside the amount you expect to need, up to $2,700, and have it deducted from each paycheck before taxes, which saves you money in the end.
  • Take a closer look at all of the medical plan options. Each of our two new medical plans is associated with a different network of doctors and hospitals. If you visit a doctor that's not in the network, you may be stuck with a hefty bill. So if there's a doctor that you really want to be able to visit, it's important to check their network status before choosing a plan. A little research now can save you a big expense later. Go to aetnanavigator.com to see which doctors are in each network.
  • Consider adding voluntary benefits. Click here to learn about the many ways these benefits can provide financial support when you need it most, like critical illness, disability, hospital indemnity and more.
  • Remember, the benefits we offer do more than cover you when you get sick. They can also help you get healthy and stay that way. Take advantage of the special features that come with your plan, like free preventive care, the 24/7 Nurse Line and health and wellness programs.

The RediMD telehealth service allows you to have a doctor’s appointment online or by phone, day or night to diagnose a health concern, recommend treatment or prescribe medications, for only $35. First time user code: aldineisd

The CVS MinuteClinic and HealthHUB locations are designated walk-in clinics with a $0 copay for employees enrolled in the Memorial Hermann ACO and Open Access Select plans. Employees enrolled in the KelseyCare ACO plan do not have walk-in clinic benefits at this time.
